ANNIE KULCZYCKI Peacefully, after a brief illness, our mother Annie passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at the age of 86. She is survived by her daughter Florence (Dennis) Kupiak; sons, Brian (Carol), Wayne (Beverly) two daughters-in-law, Sharon and Valerie; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight brothers, Mike (Mary), Pete (Marie), Andy, Fred (Rose), John (Francis), Bill (Helen), Ed (Mavis), Alec (Liz) six sisters, Mary Hanes, Katie (Mike) Triska, Jean (Fred) Klasz, Pearl (Bill) Sopotiuk, Minnie (Herb) Humphrys, Vicky (Len) Toporoski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Sam in 2001; her father Nick Kaluzny in 1971; her mother Nettie in 1984; sons, Raymond in 1991 and Gordon in 1992. Mom was born in McMunn, MB, September 7, 1917. After her marriage to Dad, they lived and raised their family in Hadashville. After Dad passed away Mom moved to Riverbend Manor, Whitemouth where she spent her last years enjoying her new friendships. Mom was proud and honoured to be a member of the Hadashville Womens Institute. She cherished the many true and strong friendships that were developed from the many long hours that she and her life long friends dedicated to volunteer work for church and community services. She also loved her flower garden and tending to her houseplants. Mom was strong willed and a hard worker all her life. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing will be held one-half hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hadashville, MB. Pallbearers are Shelley Quiring, Raquel Lincoln, Shauna Smerechynski, Colleen Adams, Lisa Kulczycki, Leah Doornbos and Cindy Kulczycki. Honorary Pallbearers are Trevor Kulczycki, Cory Kulczycki and Neil Kulczycki. Special thanks to Riverbend Manor Homecare and to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined, but if friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
