MORRIS (MAURICE) REKUNYK Morris Rekunyk passed away peacefully at the Vita Hospital on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the age of 71 years. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Ann Rekunyk, Olga Bauer and Mary Kadyniuk. Morris was born on December 18, 1932 in Stuartburn, MB and attended school there. He farmed with his father John in Stuartburn. His father passed away in 1974 and the farm was sold in 1975. He moved later with his mother to a small cottage in Stuartburn. He was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church of Stuartburn. The family thanks Morris for taking very good care of our mother and father during their senior years. Morris was predeceased by his parents, John in 1974 and mother Katherine in 1979; and three brothers, Michael in 1976, Peter in 1977 and William in 1990. He is survived by three sisters, Ann Rekunyk, Olga Bauer and Mary Kadyniuk; and some nieces and nephews. He was a very good and kind person and will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. J. Trollip, the caring nurses and staff at the Vita Hospital for the wonderful care they provided for our brother Morris. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Stuartburn. Rev. Deacon Leon Twerdun officiating.
