HILDA S. DAVIDSON Hilda Davidson died January 16, 2004 at Bayside Personal Care Home in Killarney, MB with her family present. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Andrew on December 10, 1986; her parents, David and Laura Laidlaw; sisters, Tina (Walter) Newton, Thelma (Neal) Hunter. She is survived by her brother Lyle (Ann) Laidlaw; and her children, Dr. Barrie (Alice) Davidson and Anne (Don) Edkins. She will be missed by her six grandchildren, Chris (Bev) Davidson, Tim (Wendy) Davidson, Wendy (Kirk) Davidson, Cheryl (Bill) Lawson, Cathy (Dean) Spencer, and Scott (Loreen) Edkins and also her ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Hilda was born September 23, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. She grew up and took her schooling in Fort Frances, ON. She received her nursing degree in Fort William at McKellar Hospital, where she met Andrew. Hilda married Dr. Andrew Davidson on September 23, 1933. They resided in Cartwright most of their married life. Hilda nursed for many years and was also active in the Harmony Rebekah Lodge and various other organizations. The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff at Bayside home in Killarney and Dr. Pio for their special care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Hilda may be made to the Cartwright and Area Foundation for use in the Cartwright Personal Care Home (Davidson Memorial Health Centre).
