Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MAY MAILMAN (nee WESTHORPE) November 27, 1919- January 28, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lillian Mailman. She is survived by her son Carl of Winnipeg; daughters, Sylvia (George) of Eddystone and Sandra (Dave) of Calgary; grandchildren, Mike, Brian (Vicki), Blaine (Carole), Kelly (Leah), Bonnie (Neil), Gordon; 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law; and aunt Mildred Kristjanson. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest Westhorpe and Eleanor Moore; her husband Albert; brothers, Earl, Roy, Lee; and sister Lena; and daughter-in-law Mildred. Lillian moved from Mooredale to Winnipeg in 1950. She was always a very independent person, taking care of herself and her family. She will always be remembered for the person who would lend a helping hand to others. She worked hard all her life and when she was 65 years old she bought her first house. There she was able to enjoy her years growing a garden and planting many beautiful flowers. She always loved having people stop by to show them her latest blooms and treat them to tea and homemade goodies. Lillian always had the company of a dog, and at her house she enjoyed watching and feeding the many birds that called her back yard home. A memorial service will take place on Monday, February 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). In lieu of flowers donations in Lillians memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
