IRMA LENA NOAKES (PAULLUS) Irma Lena Noakes (Paullus), age 81, died peacefully Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Dawson Court, in Thunder Bay, ON. Irma was born February 5, 1922 in Perigord, SK. She was raised in The Pas, MB. Irma married Alfred (Alfie) Noakes in 1949. She was a feisty, hard working woman with a great sense of humour. She loved music, a good book, and watching movies. She loved a good argument - especially about politics. She usually won. Irma was predeceased by her husband Alfie; her parents, Phillip and Rosalie Paullus; her brother Cyd Paullus; sisters, Claire Turner and Edna Lindsay as well as seven sisters and brothers in infancy; nephews, Phillip Lindsay and Gary MacPherson; her son-in-law Joseph (Joe) Archer and her granddaughter Constance (Connie) Archer. She is survived by her daughter Claire Archer; her granddaughters, Nancy Archer, Michelle (Norm) Gale; great-granddaughters, Nicole Archer and Erin Gale and great-grandson Devon Gale. Irma is also survived by her sister Bertha Leduc of Nipawin, SK; brother Leo Paullus of The Pas, MB and nephew Jim (Marilyn) Lindsay of Boise, ID. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. According to Irmas wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
