Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL WATKINS Born April 29, 1910, in Bradwardine, MB, to Abigail and John Blatchford. She passed away peacefully at Holyrood Manor, January 29, 2004. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Williams-Witt of Calgary; son Albert (Ab) and Patti Watkins of Maple Ridge; grandchildren, Martin Williams, Zannie (Daryn Kemp), Katie (Andre Faucher), Mikel, Julie and Edward Watkins; and great-grandsons, Keyano Kemp and Aidan Faucher. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Watkins; and all of her siblings. She spent most of her life until 1966 in Bradwardine,where she was an active member of the community. She was active in so many organizations, and a life member of the Womens Auxiliary, the Legion Auxiliary and the Independent Order of Foresters. She moved to Vancouver where she was an apartment manager, and actively helped lots of people who needed food and shelter. She was a member of St. Georges in Vancouver. Herb and Ethel moved to Maple Ridge in 1982. They joined St Georges Anglican Church. Ethel was an active member in the church and the Lady Foresters. She was always known for gorgeous hats and was never without a hat and gloves when she went out. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Georges Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart Foundation. Garden Hill Funeral Chapel (604) 463-8161
