Date of Passing: Jan 31, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL WILLIAM BALSILLIE July 16, 1968 - January 31, 2004 Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Health Sciences Centre, Danny passed away. Dan is survived by his mother Juliette, sister Merle, and brother Martin. He was predeceased by his father William (Buzz), grandmother Martha, grandfather Dan Spadini, and grandmother Julia Spadini. Dan lived in Stony Mountain most of his life, and attended school in Stony Mountain and Stonewall. He worked in the family business for over 20 years, where he was well known on his 980 Cat loader. Dan will be remembered for his great sense of humour, love of animals, and the pride he took in doing things, especially his "work details". He enjoyed his old cars and construction equipment, which took him on many journeys. Dan liked watching boxing matches with his friends, as well as Sunday night cruises and car shows. The family would like to thank all of Dans doctors and nurses, and the Hemophilia Society for their excellent care over the years. A very special thank you to everyone on H4 and the ICU at the Health Sciences Centre, and Tony Tavares for their care and compassion during a very difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of Dan to Hemophilia Manitoba, 932 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 2W5, or a charity of ones choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
