Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNIE FOX (BARANOWSKI) 1931 - 2004 Jennie Fox passed away peacefully on January 30, 2004 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Fox, Sr. (1990), her father Harry Baranowski (1978), and her mother Jessie Baranowski (1979). Jennie is survived by her son Lloyd; and daughter-in-law Sandy; and grandsons, Kyle and Chad. She is also survived by her sisters, Steff Kupskay and Anne Olinkin of Winnipeg, Daisy Chorney of Muskegon, MI; brother Russ Baranowski of Toronto; and sister-in-law Pat Cox of Winnipeg. Jennie was also lucky to have two very special friends in her life who watched out for her at the beginning stages of her illness, Theresa Strut and Bill Andrusiek. Jennie was a businesswoman all of her life. After starting her career as a clerk for Kresges, she moved on to Kmart as an Assistant Manager. In 1971, she accepted a promotion to Vice President of Human Resources for Kmart Canada where she was based in Toronto. Jennie took great pride in her job and the support she provided to the many employees of Kmart. She retired in 1992 after over 40 years with the company. After her retirement, Jennie put her energy into volunteer work. She served as president of the Catholic Womens League and on the board of John Peele Memorial Hospital. Jennie was also an Eucharistic Minister at John Fisher Catholic Church, as well as their resident gardener. Her beautiful garden was admired by everyone. Jennies family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Grace Memorial Hospital for their compassion during the last few days. We would also like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Centre (Unit1) for the patience, care and support they gave Jennie over the last two years. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 4588 Roblin Blvd. (access to parking lot is off Grant Avenue). In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, in Jennies name would be appreciated.
