Date of Passing: Jan 30, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB JANTZ September 25, 1925 - January 30, 2004 On January 30, 2004 Jacob Jantz ended his earthly journey at Riverview Health Centre, with family at his side. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret, his children, Eleanor (Ken), and Marguerite (Vern) and grandchildren, Phillip (Christy), Phoebe, Reid and Nicole. Jacob truly loved life and everything it entailed, even the difficult times, as he was always able to find a bright spot that no one else could see. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 and never stopped extolling on the virtues of this wonderful country that he and Margaret were able to raise their family. Patience, kindness and gentleness were the essence of his soul. A genuine interest in everything, especially his family was what kept him energized and ready to seize, savour and enjoy every moment of every day. His example of doing the right thing even when it was not easy will always be remembered and every effort will be made not to falter as we follow in his footsteps. We would like to thank Dr. Doermer for all his efforts and kindness. Also, thank you to the angels on 3E at Riverview Health Centre, your compassionate and caring ways allowed father to leave us with the dignity that he desired, and so richly deserved. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 3E Ward, Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Chapel, 4477 Main St. with a reception following. Think of me as your friend, I pray, And call me by a loving name: I will not care what others say, If only you remain the same I will not care how dark the night I will not care how wild the storm Your love will fill my heart with light And shield me close and keep me warm. Think of me as your friend, I pray, For else my life had little worth: So shall your memory light my way, Although we meet no more on earth. For while I know your faith secure, I ask no happier fate to see: Thus to be loved by friends so pure Is honour rich enough for me. Arrangements Entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
