FRANK OLIVER Peacefully on January 31, 2004 after losing his battle with cancer, Frank passed away at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Eva; his parents, Ernest and Annie Oliver; stepfather Charles Kirton; brothers and sisters, Robert, Kenneth, Myrtle and Agnes; and brothers, Roy and George Kirton. Left to cherish his memory are his son Les (Jo-Ann) grandchildren, Lori, Sherrie-Lynne and Michelle Fehr (Tom) great-grandchildren, Meghan and Katherine; his son Wayne (Brenda) grandchildren, Natalie and Spencer (partner Christine) Tarrah (partner Richard) and Scott Greenshields; his daughter Bonnie Bukoski (Casmir) grandchildren, Christine Dutka (David), great-grandchildren, Cameron and Nicholas Cuadros; Holly; and Marilyn Bonkowski (Trevor) brother Cecil Kirton (Eileen) numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Born in Woodlands, MB December 29, 1909, Frank and Eva moved to Winnipeg when they were married in 1936. He worked his entire career for CP Express until he retired in 1974. Along with his affiliation with Knights of Columbus, St. John Brebeuf Council, he was very active in the St. Vital Roman Catholic parish. An avid sportsman who loved to curl, play baseball, bowl, and spend time with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Rev. Dr. Patrick Morand officiating. Interment is to follow on Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Mausoleum. Family would like to thank Dr. Sheila Domke and the staff of Golden Door for their care and support.
