NORMAN ZALUSKY Peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2004, at Health Sciences Centre, Norman Zalusky passed away at the age of 66. Norman was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine Zalusky. Norman was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg. He was the only son of John and Catherine Zalusky. He spent many happy years at their family cottage in Sandy Hook. Norman had a strong, loving and lifelong bond with his parents who played an important role in his up-bringing as he was everything to them. During his working career, Norman was employed with several Federal Government Departments (Veterans Affairs, Parks Canada and Employment and Immigration). While at Parks Canada, Norman established lasting friendships with Bob Dunik and Keith McKone and the three men were often referred to as "The Three Musketeers." Norman continued to attend the Parks Canada Retirees luncheons as he enjoyed the association with all his former coworkers. For over 30 years, Norman was a longtime board member of the former Adanac Credit Union on Portage Avenue. His participation on the board, together with his loyalty, honesty and integrity contributed greatly to the success of Adanac Credit Union. He always looked forward to the monthly meetings and the friendship and camaraderie enjoyed between its board members. Norman especially enjoyed his long term close relationship with Tom Antonick, former general manager of Adanac Credit Union. Normans health was declining in recent years but his interests in credit union activities, the Win-n-Trak model railroads and working on his computer remained strong. Norman had many friends from all walks of life and was a wonderful friend to all of them. Norman had two very special friends from childhood, Arnold Lindgren and Don Dymont who remained loyal, supportive and caring to Norman for over 50 years. Their ties to each other were considered to be that of three brothers. Many good memories will be held dear over the years to come. Norman will be sadly missed by his aunt Mrs. Anne Darowany, numerous cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation commencing at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bryan Walker, Kurt and Kerry Walker, William Dymont, Brent Dymont and Tom Antonick. If friends so desire, donations in Normans memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. MAY HE REST IN PEACE CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
