ANNE STEININGER Our dear aunt and friend passed away peacefully with her family and friend Helen at her bedside. Anne was born in Winnipeg and resided in the north end all her life. She was employed by CBC for many years before her retirement. Anne was predeceased by her mother Anna; father Carl; sister Louise; brother Charles; and nephew Grant. She leaves to cherish her memory her niece Sharon; her great-niece Mariette; and many close friends. Anne took great pleasure in her garden and enjoyed sharing with her many friends the flowers and vegetables she so proudly nurtured during the summer months. Anne was a lover of the arts - frequenting the opera, symphony and ballet. She was a staunch supporter of the Humane Society. For many years she was a member of St. Boniface Golf Club and spent many enjoyable hours with her friends golfing. A great joy to her in the last few years were her visits and times in the garden with Nina, Helen and Barrys granddaughter. We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff at Womens Hospital. Their kindness and understanding was so gratefully appreciated. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Dr. Eleanor Geib officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1. "I shall pass through this life but once. If there is any kindness I can show Or any good I can do, Let me do it now, Not defer it, not neglect it, For I shall not pass This way again." THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
