JOHN (DAVID) WOELK August 24, 1927 - February 1, 2004 John (David) Woelk passed away peacefully at the Concordia Hospital on February 1, 2004 after suffering a heart attack on December 29, 2003. He is survived by his wife Anna; children, Hedy and John Falk of Winkler, MB, David and Jane, Peter and Teresa, and Timothy, all of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Nathan, Melissa and Ed Wiebe, Marvin, Lisa, Matthew, Alexander and Zoe; and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brandon and Nicholas. He is also survived by his brother Jacob and his wife Herta; many nephews and nieces; brother-in-law Peter and Anne Enns; sisters-in-law, Susie Rempel and Helen and John Penner and their families, as well as a special cousin Erna Kampen and his aunt Anna Andres and her husband Cornelius; and many relatives. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Interment will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd., Winnipeg, with pastors, Roland Marsch and George A. Klassen officiating. The family would like to thank the home care workers, Dr. Gerry Bergen and the hospital staff and volunteers at Concordia Hospital for their gentle care.
