FERNAND DUBE Surrounded by the love and support of his family Fern passed away peacefully on February 2, 2004 at the Pine Falls Hospital, Pine Falls, MB. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Simone of 49 years of marriage; children, Larry (Suzanne), Leo (Kathy), Henry (Joanne), Margaret (Lauris) and grandchildren, Cole, Garett, Ryan, Michael, Katelyn, Jade and Foxx. He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Armande, Lucie (Maurice), Freda (Bill), Marie (Glen) and his brothers, Leon (Sadie), Roger (Margaret), Gilles (Odiles), Edgar (Dianne), Norman (Grace), Marcel (Lila) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Fern was predeceased by his father Oscar, mother Flora, brother Henry and grandson Beau. Fern was born in Pine Falls on December 19, 1929 and he lived in the area all of his life. He was truly an exceptional man who touched the hearts of many. He loved life and showed great compassion and sensitivity towards people. He always had a positive outlook on life and treated everyone with dignity and respect. Whenever a helping hand was needed he was there. Those who knew him will remember him for his generosity and kindness. His grandchildren will especially miss his sense of humour and loving nature. Fern spent countless enjoyable hours with family and friends at his home and cottage. He enjoyed the great outdoors, snowmobiling, quadding, hunting and fishing. We will remember Fern as an outgoing individual who enjoyed living life to the fullest. Special thanks go to the emergency staff of the Health Science Centre and especially to the staff of the Pine Falls Hospital who provided superior care for our father during his final hours. A celebration of Ferns life and funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. from the St. George Parish Church, St. George, MB with Fr. Rejean Belanger officiating. Prayers of the Rosary will be said at 1:30 p.m. Services will terminate at the church with cremation to follow. If friends so desire memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Dad: Your memory is our keepsake With which we will never part.
