Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA HILL (nee HEALEY) May 26, 1919 - January 31, 2004 It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend. Born in Bishop Auckland, England, she met and married her husband James "Bud" Hill who was stationed there during the Second World War. They moved to Winnipeg where they raised five children. Hilda loved her family unconditionally. Among her favourite pastimes were gardening and Bingo. Though she faced many challenges throughout her life, she maintained her tenacity and sense of humour. She will be sadly missed. She was predeceased by her husband; daughter Lenore Sutyla and son-in-law Orest Kluczkowski. Survived by children, Gloria (Peter) Moodie, Selkirk, Pat Kluczkowski, Transcona, Jim (Terri) Hill, North Vancouver, Martin Hill, Winnipeg and granddaughters, Deb Shreiber, Winnipeg, Kelly Sutyla (Paul Doyle), Cold Lake and Shawna Moodie, Winnipeg; as well as family in England and Scotland. At Moms request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held at 916 Cloutier Dr. (Marina del Rey apartments off South Pembina Hwy., just south of Perimeter Highway) on Thursday, February 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
