SUSAN GUTTMAN (nee ELEK) 1931 - 2004 We are sad to announce the passing of Susan Guttman, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. She passed away February 3, 2004 with her devoted husband Sandor at her bedside. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 48 years, Sandor; her son David (Liz) and her grandchildren, Rachel and Daniel. She also leaves to mourn her mother Klari Elek of Budapest, Hungary. She was born in Budapest, she became a Winnipeger in 1968 and made many dear friends. She was involved in the Jewish community and a number of charities and took great pride in assisting the less fortunate. Funeral services were held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on February 5. Special thanks to the nursing staff at GA-5 at the Health Sciences Centre for all of their care and effort and extra special thanks to Angelique for all of her assistance. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the S.G. Scholarship fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba.
