OLGA THOMAS (nee CHARNEY) 1915 - 2004 After a brief illness, Olga passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at the Pine Falls Hospital, with family at her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Philippe and Winnie; husband Harold; brothers, Mike, Tony, Peter; sisters, Pauline, Aunt Mary, Jenny and daughter-in-law Mona. Olga will be sadly missed by brother Bill; sons, Vern, Foz (Dodie) daughter Jackie (Chic) grandchildren, Danny, Lee, Jody, Rene (Heather), Randy (Synove), Robert, Trevor (Lisa), Tanis (Kevin) six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with two more within weeks. Many nieces, nephews and friends will also miss her. Mom was a sport enthusiast. In her younger days she was an active fastball player, and later enjoyed many years of bowling. She followed her children and grandchilrens sport endeavors and seldom missed an opportunity to watch them play. She loved to knit and cook and could never do enough for her family. Special thanks to Dr. Mare and to the nursing staff at Pine Falls Hospital, who provided loving care to Mom and family during her stay at the hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Olga, to the Pine Falls District Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 2000, Pine Falls, MB R0E 1M0. Celebration of Olgas life will be held at Notre Dame du Laus Church, Powerview, MB on Tuesday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Father James Gray officiating.
