GERTRUDE ELLA NEULS (nee SCHICK) Ella passed away at Elmview Extendacare in Regina, SK on Saturday, January 31, 2004. She was born in Winnipeg, to Adam and Caroline (Lena) Schick and grew up with two older brothers, Fred and Ted. Ella worked for many years for Wawanesa Insurance, at Wawanesa and Winnipeg, MB. She enjoyed travelling, tennis, curling and a cottage life while in Manitoba. In 1952 she married Herb Sr., a widower and moved to Summerberry, SK where a daughter Ann Marie (Kennedy), a son Herb Neuls Jr. (Diane Russell), and a daughter Gaye (Moss) awaited her. In 1957 a son Kerry was born to Herb and Ella. Herb and Ella farmed until 1980 when they moved to Vancouver, BC. Herb Sr. passed away in 1999 and Ella returned to Regina. Ella loved her family life, enjoyed entertaining, sports and was very active with U.C.W. and the United Church. She had many friends in all three provinces. Ella has 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Tubman Funeral Home in Wolseley, SK at 2:00 p.m., February 6 (today). If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the United Church Mission Fund or the U.C.W. in Wolseley.
