GEORGE IRA CONGRAM It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather, George Congram, on Friday, February 6, 2004 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 89 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lea (nee Therrien) his sons, Lionel (Noreen) and Ron (Joan) his daughter Brenda (Doug) and by his five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. George was predeceased by his parents, George and Christina; three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his sister Gladys (Berreth) and his brother Carl Congram. George was employed for many years at Midland Superior. Upon his retirement, he worked and volunteered at the St. Boniface Hospital. The family extends special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital as well as Father Roland Lanoie of Pastoral Care. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Road in Windsor Park on Tuesday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. Father Fred Olds will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georges memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 2nd Floor, 629 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg R3A 1P6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
