She would have celebrated her 100th birthday on September 4, 2004. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Helen (Don) Ullyot, Norma Busby and Inez (Bill) Kwasnycia; grandchildren, Gordon, Leslie, Kim, Jim, Rob, Karen, Susan, Dawn, Tracey, Bruce, Gerry and Heather; sister Margaret Mack; special sister Pearl Eyford; sisters-in-law, Eunice Ingimundson and Gwen Ingimundson; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence in June of 1955; brothers, George, Walter, Gudmundur, Gudlaugur and Joe; sisters, Thelma, Kristin, Maria and Sigurlaug. Bina was born in Lundar on September 4, 1904, and married Lawrence Ingimundson in 1927. They lived in Lundar until 1941 when they moved to Winnipeg. Bina worked for many years at Eatons Mail Order before retiring. Bina loved to travel and her trips included Whitehorse, Edmonton, Victoria, Florida, California, the East Coast and her cherished trip to Iceland. She loved crafts and for as long as she could, she kept busy with knitting, embroidery and ceramics. Many of us cherish the pieces that she has made. She was very proud of her Icelandic heritage and made many of their dishes including vinatarta. Only one person - her daughter Helen - can equal her apple pie. She loved music and sang in the church choir as well as the Icelandic choir for many years. She worked tirelessly for the F.L.C.W. We will all miss her smiling face. The family extends a special thanks to all the staff at Calvary Place. They were all wonderful to her but in particular Helmut and Leonida. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10 at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Binas memory to First Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
