DONALDA HEATHER MANSER (nee MacKAY) A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at The Northern Suburbs Crematorium. A celebration of Donnas life was held January 28 at "One More Shot Pond", Centennial Park, Paddington, Sydney. Donnas family would prefer that anyone wishing to send flowers, make a donation to a charity. The charities that are meaningful to the Mansers include The Heart Foundation, The Cancer Society and The Diabetic Association. Every family has one member that attracts love and laughter like bees gather honey. Ours was Donna. Every person has someone so upbeat and positive that every person smiles when they come. There is laughter and witty conversation while that person is here. When that person leaves, all that is left is a large aching hole. Ours was Donna. Every family has someone that was so adventurous that moving from Transcona to Toronto to New Zealand and onto Sydney, Australia seems quite normal. Ours was Donna. Every family has someone that loves her husband, children and grandchildren with a passion equal to their love of life. Ours was Donna. Every family has someone that could sit on her balcony after a day of teaching English, and talk about the colours of the Australian sunset, listen to the sounds of the Kookaburras, cicadas and the happy sounds of grandchildren, loving it all. Ours was Donna. Every family has someone whose capacity for love, laughter and great conversations will be remembered forever. Ours was Donna.
