SUSAN LINDA TREFZ (nee HAUGHLAND) Tragically and unexpectedly on January 17, 2004 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, formerly of Victoria, BC. Susan was born January 26, 1957 in St. Boniface, MB. She was predeceased by her father Mons Haughland (1965) step-brother John Wollmann (1995) and step-father Jake Wollmann (2001). Susan attended various schools growing up: Mulvey School, Red River Valley Junior Academy, Gordon Bell and Canadian Union College. She graduated from Andrews University in Michigan as a Registered Dietician and recently completed her Master of Business Administration degree through the University of Victoria. As a dietician, Susan lived and worked in many places, Winnipeg, MB, Brandon, MB, Fairview, AB, Vancouver, BC, Vernon, BC, and Ottawa, ON. But her very favourite place was Victoria, BC, where she lived for many years. She had many passions and interests. She was skilled in drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, crocheting. She was creative, inventive and full of mischief. She was adventuresome, going on many cycling trips with her son, Jonathan, and sailing around the gulf islands once she earned her skipper license. Susan was a committed mother who will be dearly missed by her son Jonathan. Also grieving her loss are her mother Dorothy Wollman; sisters, Debbie Chan (Tom), Kathy Galovics, Barbie Adams (Neil) half-brothers, Raymond Haughland (Willene) and Darryl Kantor (Suzanne) step-brothers, Reuben Wollmann (Christina), Sam Wollman (Amy) step-sisters, Martha Karagiannis (Barry), Marion Wollmann, Sarah Maines (Keith), Bertha Munrose (Keith) step-sister-in-law Mary-Ann Wollmann; nephews, niece, ex-husband Daryle Trefz and his parents, Evelyn and Ken and many friends and extended family. Susan has been cremated and her ashes sprinkled over the South China Sea. Many thanks to Ken and Evelyn Trefz for their love and support, to Susans friends Marcello and Crystal for all theyve done to help from Taiwan, and to those who have helped with the memorial service held Sunday, January 25 at the Henderson Highway Seventh-day Adventist Church, and in many other ways, and to all those around the continent who have sent greetings and love.
