JEAN KENNEDY DUNCAN ARMOUR WALTON 1916 - 2004 Peacefully on January 28, 2004, Jean passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Aubrey; her two sisters, Barbara Anderson and Rae (Beggs) Wright and her brother Tom Armour. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Jean Lynn Walton Rempel and husband, Wolfgang; her granddaughter Lauree Walton Phillips and husband, Todd and her great-grandson, Justin Michael Walton Phillips. Jean was born on May 16, 1916 in Winnipeg. As a child she was a tomboy who was naturally great at all sports. In her adolescence, she devoted herself to the friendship and care of her brother Tom. She was an accomplished pianist, tennis player and seamstress and enjoyed working in the music department at Eatons for many years. Throughout her marriage, she completely devoted herself to her family and upon their retirement, Jean and her husband helped look after and care for their granddaughter, Lauree. Her husband always said that without her sacrifices they could never have travelled and lived the life they did. She was a person of spunk, determination and strength who always thought of others before herself. She was always our support. Mum or, "Grams" as she was affectionately called, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her kindness, compassion and strength of spirit will live with us always. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Maeve Dickson and staff of the Charleswood Care Centre for their loving care, compassion and support. Private funeral services were held February 2, 2004, at Thomson Funeral Chapel with interment at Brookside Cemetery. You were always there when we needed you, No task too great or small, With a loving heart and a willing hand, For us, you did it all, Thanks for the years you gave us, And for all your loving care, You will be forever in our hearts With the love we will always share. Love Lynn and Lauree THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
