WILLIAM JAMES WILSON (BILLY) On February 6, 2004 in Winnipeg, Billy passed away at the age of 45 years. He is survived by his loving family and friends: his daughter Tessa Erjavec (her mother Zdenka), daughter Carmen Smart, son Cade Smart (their mother Lexie) will miss their Dad. He also leaves to mourn his passing his grandmother Veda Olson, parents, Bob and Helen Wilson; sisters, Donna (Jack) Lumax and Judy (Bill) Barevich; brothers, Keith (Winnie) Wilson, Doug (Mary) Wilson and Wayne (Fran) Wilson, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and their extended families will also remember Billy. He was predeceased by his brother Dale Wilson. Billy was born in Swan River, MB on July 5, 1958 to loving parents, Bob and Helen. He spent his early years on the farm in Swan River where he acquired his love for the country. In the summer of 1971 the family moved to St. James in Winnipeg, where Billy lived and attended school. As a child Billy loved to take things apart. He was fascinated with how things were put together and he never lost this curiosity. He was loyal, hardworking and enjoyed working with wood and glass. Billy was known for his interesting sense of humour and wild stories. He was a man of generosity and gentle spirit. Above all, Billy was known for being a caring and loving father. The family would like to thank the staff of MICU at the Health Sciences Centre, Cropo Funeral Chapel, Rev. Wendy Rankin, and his supportive friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date in Swan River-Birchwood Cemetery.
