MARGARET IRENE DELLER (nee DOUGLAS) On Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Carman Memorial Hospital, Margaret passed away in her 89th year after a brief illness. Margaret was predeceased by her husband George; parents, James and Helen Douglas; siblings, Cora Wickett, Isobel Lowdon, Mabel Bingham, James Douglas, Walter Douglas and Shirley Bingham. She leaves to mourn in her passing her daughter and son-in-law Marie and Don Sherred of Kenora, ON and her two grandchildren, Brittany and Cole; as well as nieces and nephews. Margaret was born in Roland, MB on September 13, 1914 to James Archibald and Helen Sophia Douglas, the youngest of nine siblings. She married George Deller on October 4, 1933 and they spent 60 years together in Shoal Lake until Georges passing in April, 1994. Over the years, Margaret was active with the United Church in Shoal Lake, a Rebekah member for over 30 years, active in the Hospital Aid and curling rink plus a member of the Senior Center in Shoal Lake. She relocated to Carman after the passing of her husband in 1994. She enjoyed playing bridge at the Friendship Center and curling club, plus was an avid spectator of curling while residing in Carman. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Carman Memorial Hospital as well as the caregivers at the Boyne Towers for their wonderful care. Also thanks to all her friends that called and came to visit her. In compliance with Margarets wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Interment will take place in the summer 2004 at Shoal Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make a donation in Margarets memory to the Carman Memorial Hospital Auxillary, Box 1025, or to the Friendship Centre, Box 2142, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0.
