MAURICE JOSEPH DESROCHERS On Saturday, February 7, 2004, Maurice Joseph Desrochers peacefully passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. He was born December 28, 1918, and grew up in Mariapolis, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne; his father Venance; his mother Elise; his brother Tony and his sister Yvonne. Left behind to mourn his passing are his son Don and his wife Paulette, and their two sons, Martin and Shawn; his daughter Bernice and her husband Phil, and their daughter Cara and her fiance Kevin. Don and Bernice want to thank their goddaughter Adele for her visits to see their Dad and for the haircuts she gave him. The family would also like to thank his neighbours, Pat and John for their devoted friendship and for watching out for Dad while he lived next door to them. The many visits they made to see Dad at Deer Lodge were always treasured memories for him. To Dad, Pat and John were his best friends. Also, our sincere appreciation to the staff at Deer Lodge, 4 West, for the care they gave Dad. Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy #1 E. and Navin Rd, with viewing one hour prior to service. Pallbearers will be Phillip Larocque, Martin Desrochers, Shawn Desrochers, Ubald Labossiere, John Wilson and Kevin Galka. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow, and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
