Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN EDNA MAY HATCH (nee VOSS) January 15, 1921 Doreen Hatch passed away peacefully Sunday, February 8, 2004. She is predeceased by her Father and Mother, Robert and Annie Voss; two sisters, Edith and Irene and her husband Jim. Doreen is survived by her brothers, Ray and Nelson and her sister Dorothy along with her four sons, Bob (Wendy), Larry (Kim), Tim (Jeanne) and David; grandchildren, Lisa, Andrew, Marnie, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylee and Kai. Doreen grew up on the farm outside of Portage La Prairie. As a young woman she moved to Winnipeg, married Jim, and raised her family in East Kildonan. Doreen spent many years working as a teller at the CIBC and made friends with whomever she met. Doreen enjoyed sports, particularly baseball, bowling, golf, and horse shoes. She was an ardent bridge player. She will be most remembered for her happy smile, her cheery disposition, and her generosity of spirit. Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Green Acres Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doreens memory to Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., R3C 4G2, or the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., R3A 1P6. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre for the care and support provided to Doreen during the past two and a half years.
