Date of Passing: Feb 09, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN DENTON In profound disbelief and unimaginable grief we announce the passing of our beloved Brian on Monday, February 9, 2004. Brian was born in Winnipeg on April 15, 1950. He attended Cecil Rhodes, Gordon Bell and the University of Manitoba. He served six years with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps John Travers Cornwell, V.C., rising to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. He was an employee at Robinsons store in the construction department for nine years and then started his own business as a sub-contractor in the flooring business which he continued until his death. Brian is survived by his much loved partner Marlene and her family; his adored mother Hazel; his favourite cousin April and his best canine friend Bandit. Also left to mourn his passing are his aunt Edna (Ramsey), many cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Brian was one of the kindest and gentlest of men. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him loved and respected him. He was Marlenes gift from God and the son that every mother wished she had. Viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13 at Neil Bardal Inc. Cremation to follow. Honourary pallbearers are Don Marigold, Wayne Cook, Mike Marowitch, Frank Guenther, Darin Weslak, Kevin Unrau, Grant Ross and George Benoit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St. Winnipeg, R2L 1X3, or Hong Kong Veterans Commemorative Association of Canada, P.O. Box 381, Winnipeg, R3C 2H6. Brian we hope you left this part of your journey knowing how much you were loved. May you rest in peace. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
