JACOB F. KLASSEN Jacob F. Klassen passed away peacefully on February 9, 2004 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 101. Jacob was born to John D. and Susanna Klassen on December 5 of 1902, in the Reichenbach area, one mile West of Rosenfeld. He was baptized on confession of his faith in May, 1924, in the Sheonthal Sommerfelder Church. He married Susie Schellenberg on October 27, 1927. Jacob, together with his family, farmed in the Rosenfeld area all of his life. In 1970 he semi-retired from farming, but still delivered eggs till the age of 90. Jacob and Susie both remained on the farm until his passing. He leaves to mourn his wife Susie; two sons and their wives, Tony and Anne, Bert and Edna; three granddaughters and their husband; eight great-grandchildren and two spouses and one great great-granddaughter. The family wishes to thank the staff of the medical ward at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, also Drs., Jackson, Abbu and Drake. Viewing will be held at Wiebes Funeral Home, Altona on Wednesday, February 11, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Bergthaler Mennonite Church, prior to the service.
