LORRAINE ALISSON CLARKE
Born: Apr 21, 1979
Date of Passing: Feb 10, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE ALISSON CLARKE April 21, 1979 - February 10, 2004 With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt and cousin, Lorraine Clarke, on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, after a courageous battle, with her loving family by her side. It has been our greatest gift to have shared in Loris short life and she has left a legacy of wonderful memories for all who knew her. Lori will be forever loved and remembered by her parents Bryan and Carla Clarke; brothers Ron (Theresa), David (Trisha) sister Nikki (Mark) and boyfriend (Rick Butson). Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her grandparents Frank and Louella Welch, granny Mary Flett; as well as nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Lori grew up in East St. Paul attending Dr. Hamilton and Robert Andrews Schools. At Miles Mac she completed her Health Care Aide program and worked as a Health Care Aide at Health Sciences Centre in several areas but most often in the Adult Burn Unit. Due to her own burn injury as a young child, Lori was always willing to share her unique compassion and understanding with those patients who needed her. Very early in her life Lori began working with the Fire Department through their Burn Awareness Program, making presentations to schools throughout the city, sharing her experiences with other children in the hopes of preventing similar tragedies. When Lori was 10 years old her parents organized a Cycle-A-Thon event, raising money for the Firefighters Burn Fund. The annual event has raised $200,000 to date. Memorial service will be held at Springfield Mennonite Fellowship, 570 Sharron Bay, on Monday, February 16, at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Mark Young officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Loris name to the Firefighters Burn Fund, 303 - 83 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4J9. Always loved, never forgotten Arrangements entrusted to: NEEPAWA FUNERAL SERVICES (204) 476-5993

Fondly thinking of the late Ms. Clarke. I have worked at Mona Lisa Ristorante Italiano and have been playing bocce on the Mona Lisa and Cafe 13 Leagues under my employer Joe Grande for nine years. During the COVID-19 pandemic I have been playing my beloved sport outside of Special Olympics programming which I truly cherish. - Posted by: Philip Bialk (Actively involved with Special Olympics Manitoba, D.A.S.C.H.
