ANNE PARKE-TEILLET On Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre, Anne passed away peacefully. Here are her own words. I am leaving behind me on earth, but never abandoning spiritually, those who are dearest to me - my husband David, my children Gillian and Gregory who are the pride and joy of my life, my mother Maggie, and my sisters Yvonne and Carole and their families. Also, solid friends who supported me through the tough times and good - Lynn Crawford, Derek and Wendy McLean, Marg Dickson, Donna Henrikson, Claudette Armstrong, Bonnie Miller, Merilyn Guiney, Diane Smith, Diane Demetrioff, Flo Lucko, Lynn Lakusiak, and Walter Isaac. And to Elaine, Helen, Leslie, Alison, Donna, Sandy, Gwen, Anne, Marion, and Jill - that stalwart group of advocates for self determination, I am indebted to you as friends, supporters, fighters, kickers of butt, and shoulders to laugh and cry on. You are exceptional women and I have enormous respect for you all. Remember, today is a gift. Never let the thieves of yesterday or tomorrow rob you of it. Everyone who knew Anne will know of the success she made of her life, and her many accomplishments, both at home and at work. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone at CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre for all the kind care and support she and her family received. At Annes request cremation has taken place, and a small private service celebrating her life will be held later, time and place to be announced. In lieu of flowers, it is Annes wish that donations be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Breast Cancer Centre of Hope, 691 Wolseley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 1C3.
