Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH WIEBE Peacefully, on February 10, Elizabeth Wiebe of Winnipeg, went to be with her Creator and Savior, at the age of 91. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Jacob; her son Walter; two brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn are her daughter Irene with her husband Neil Warkentin and their children, Kevin and Shaun; and her two sisters, Katie and Nettie. Elizabeth was born on November 17, 1912 in Georgsthal, Russia. Due to the political upheaval in Russia, the Enns family immigrated to Canada in 1926 and moved to Steinbach in 1936. It was here that she met Jacob Wiebe, whom she married on December 7, 1941. They both enjoyed their life in the Steinbach community until 2001. Elizabeth accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 16. In the past few years her focus increasingly shifted to the Heavenly City and her scripture search was directed toward the realities of the after-life. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Abe Klassen officiating. Interment will follow in the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Donwood Manor and Concordia Hospital for their kindness and support. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2L 0N1.
