STEINUNN (STEINA) JOHNSON Steina peacefully went to be with Jesus on February 11, 2004 after a lengthy illness at the Lundar Personal Care Home. Steina was born at Asham Point, MB on December 8, 1910. She married Niss Johnson on June 10, 1937 and has made her home in Lundar since that time. Throughout her life Steina was involved in community activities and was an active member of the Lundar Lutheran Church. Her first love was her family and she was a devoted wife and mother. To others she was always a good and kind friend. Left to mourn her passing are two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Lawrence Anderson, Ernie and Ruth Dutchak, all of Calgary, AB. Grandchildren, Kevin (Erin) Anderson, of Yellowknife, NT, Scott (Lynn) Anderson, of Swift Current, SK, Joanne Anderson of Edmonton, AB, Grant and Christy Dutchak of Calgary, AB; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Dustin, Ryan and Leia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Niss in 1994; her parents, Bjarni and Hallbjorg Sigurdson; her siblings, Stefan, Ingvar, Sigurdur, Sigridur, Thora, Arni and Anna. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 14 at the Lundar Lutheran Church with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Interment to follow at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery.
