Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNANCY ALMYRA HARPER April 4, 1931 - February 11, 2004 It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Almyra Harper of Winnipeg, formerly of Peguis First Nation, on February 11, 2004 at the age of 72 years with her family by her side. Nancy leaves to mourn, Welland Harper and their children, Ivy, Neil, Marcel, Darrell and Glenna (Jack) her grandsons, Timothy and Christopher and her granddaughter Cassidy, whom she raised as her own; Nancy also leaves 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rita Prince, Audrey Finnbogason, Betty McCorrister and Alice (Ben) Hudson; her brothers, Carl (Olive) Asham, Dennis (Linda) Daniels and Lesley (Geraldine) Daniels; her sister-in-law Josephine Slater; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her dad Albert Slater; her mom Florence; her stepdad Cecil Daniels; her brother Maurice (Sonny) Slater; her brothers-in-law, Fred Finnbogason, George Prince, Tom McCorrister, Gerald Harper and Robert (Bob) Harper; her sister-in-law Glenna Harper; her mother and father-in-law, Winnifred and William Harper; her uncle Maurice Smith; and by her nephews, Brad and Warren Hudson. Nancy lived in Peguis until the age of 18 and then moved to Winnipeg, where she lived until her passing. She was a private, shy person, who enjoyed playing games such as bingo and cards. Nancy was also a foster parent and she will be loved and always remembered by her family. A wake service will be held on Monday, February 16 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church, Peguis, MB. Rev. Wesley Barrett and Rev. Barry Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Cemetery.
