Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) GLEN EARLEY Peacefully at home, on Friday, February 13, 2004, Bill passed away at 76 years of age. Bill was born in 1927, in Souris, Manitoba. He grew up in Souris and was very active in baseball and hockey. Bill attended the University of Manitoba and after graduating in 1950 with a degree in Pharmacy he returned to Souris to work in Hatchs Drugstore. It was during this time he met and married Edith McConechy, a nurse at the Souris Hospital. Bill and Edith moved to Brandon in 1955 where Bill was employed by Eli Lilly and Co. until he purchased his own pharmacy in Erickson, MB in 1963. While in Erickson they raised their family and were actively involved in the community. Bill was a member of the local Lions Club, Legion and a member of the Village Council. In 1996, Bill and Edith retired to Paradise Village where they enjoyed a full and active life. He was an avid golfer and was especially proud of winning a bronze medal at the Canadian senior games. Bill was predeceased by his father William; mother Marjorie; and brother Robert. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edith; daughters, Cindy (Robert), Barbara (Joe), Roberta (Robert) and son Glen (Christine) and grandchildren, Marc, Ian, Marina, Alexandra, Eric, Owen, Megan, William and Leah. A celebration of Bills life will be held at the Community Center at Paradise Village (off #1 Hwy. E) at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16. Honourary pallbearers are Ted Barnes, Andy Lang, Bill Davidson, Reg Nylen, Harold Stitt, Gordon Schwab, Jerry Ferguson, Peter Manzuk and Bill Malazdrewicz. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be at Souris Cemetery this summer. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bills memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Canadian Cancer Society. "Dad, you were a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. We will miss you and love you forever."
