Jean is predeceased by her parents, Josephine and Ben Pitre; husband Lou; brother Clem; and sisters, Marie, Zella, Pricilla and Evelyn. Left with many memories of love and laughter are her two sons, Rene (Mary) and Leo; sisters, Blanche, Lorraine, Bertha; brother Roy; along with nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was the third of ten children that were born in Ochre River, MB. She married Lou in 1933 and raised both sons in Pine Falls; however, she lived in the happiest days of her life in Winnipeg surrounded by family and friends. Jean loved to travel, play cards and bingo with long-time friend of 70 years Anne Roslyn who has grown to be a part of the Malo family and will miss Jean dearly. In accordance to Jeans wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Thursday, February 19, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin Street. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to all who provided support during Jeans time of illness, including the staff at Seven Oaks hospital, all the family and friends who kept watch of her while she was here with us; all who visited, called or sent flowers and love. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
