HELEN CWIK (nee KORNEL) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Helen Cwik, aged 78 on February 14, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital. Helen was born in Poland on May 13, 1925. She came to Canada in 1951. She was a member of the St. Andrew Bobola Church. Helen leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters, Teresa, Susan, Sandra (Jules) and Tracy; two sons, John and Ronald as well as her sisters, Mary Chlebak, Anne Cabel and Kathy Schoffner; other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband John and her brother Bill Kornel as well as her parents, Marie and John Kornel. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion St. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Jan Spyrka officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the Mass at Assumption Cemetery. MOM You can only have one mother, Loving, kind and true No other friend in all the world Will be so true to you For all her love and kindness She asked nothing in return If all the world deserted us To our Mother we could turn For those of you who have a Mother Treasure her with care For you will never know her value Till you see she is not there To hear her voice to see her smile To sit and talk with her awhile To be together in the same old way Would be our dearest wish today.
