NAOMI MARGARET THELMA McPHERSON (nee PERCIVAL) Peacefully on February 14, 2004, at the Health Science Centre after a short illness, at the age of 93 years Naomi passed away with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill; in 1988 and is survived by her only son, Ken and her daughter-in-law, Marianne; her three grandchildren, Ward (Kelly), Andy (Donna), and Christine as well as her six great-grandchildren, Michael, Trevor, Krista, Melissa, Connor and Brianna. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Claude and her sisters-in-law, Joyce McPherson and Gladys Taylor. Mom was a gentle, kind and loving person who was extremely proud and fond of her family. She had a great sense of humour and never had a bad word to say about anyone. During the Second World War, while Dad was in the armed forces, she worked for the CPR cleaning locomotives. After the war, she was employed at Eatons for a number of years. Mom and Dad enjoyed a long and happy retirement together enjoying the legion, bingos and card games and with friends and family. During the past three years she resided at Lions Manor and enjoyed the companionship of her friends there. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. (Corner of Roblin and Dieppe) at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Health Science Centre for their kind and compassionate care both of Mom and the family. We also sincerely thank the Lions manor Home Care staff for their support and care of Mom.
