On Sunday, February 15, 2004, with family by his side, Jim Alexander loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend closed his eyes in comfort and continues on his journey. Jim will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by Allison his loving wife of 57 years; his sister Ina (Glen) children, Greg (Sharon), Janelle (Larry), Chris (Cindy), Cheryl (David), Sandee (Robert) grandchildren, Cory, Colleen, Meagan, Katie, Jackie, Miranda, Connor; granddogs, Scruffy, Tage Bear and Shadow; as well as numerous relatives and family friends who Jim made sure knew the door of our home was always open and all were welcome. Jim was born and raised in East Kildonan. He and Allison met at "Robs" the local hangout, where Jim, best buddy Gordie and the rest of the guys frequented. As a gunnery in the DEMS unit of the Navy, Jim served his tour on the Givenchy from August 1943 to October 1945. The following summer Dad and Mom married and started on their 57-year adventure. Jim worked at a variety of occupations but excelled as a Salesman. Year after year he won the Top Salesman Western Canada for HBC Distillers. As one client said, "That man could sell me XXXX on a stick, and Id buy it!" Jim was an avid dog lover, gardener and handyman. The family would like to thank Dr. Angie Bertsch for the many years of caring for Jim. Blaine for his loving devoted home care. Jims adopted family and guardian angels the Exceptional caregivers of T3. We can never express our gratitude, without you... we would have been lost!
