NORBERT PAUL PROSPER FILLION Suddenly at peace on February 14, 2004, Norbert entered into the arms of Jesus with his loving wife by his side. Norbert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, Connie; two children, Steven and Chantel; son-in-law Daran Adair and his precious grandsons, Jackson and Logan Adair. Norbert was born on October 23, 1938 to Rose (Clairmont) and Edward Fillion. He spent most of his life a mechanic and service station owner in several Winnipeg locations. Many of his customers became his friends and all of his staff became his friend. Norbert taught many young people to do business with honesty and integrity. His legacy is carried on in their daily lives. He was a calm man who gave quietly much more than he required. He cared and felt things deeply, giving great strength and support to his family. Norbert was a builder and a creator, as well as building up people. He took pride in building his familys home. Norbert enjoyed travelling with his family and they are left with many memories of love to build on. Norbert had a gift of being loved by children and spent many hours playing with all his nieces and nephews. He loved each one in their own special way. He was predeceased by his sister Edna Bartmanovich and his father Edward. His mother Rose; sister Shirley (George) brothers, Alfred (Shirley) and Edgar (Betty) Fillion survive him. He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Gary) Leraas, Kathie (Dennis) Taus, Sharon (Frank) Beck and brother-in-law Marvin (Christy) Larson and their families. Viewing will be held 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with prayers being said at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 445 Lagimodiere Blvd. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18 at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside.
