EDWARD ANTHONY ZALESKI It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Anthony Zaleski, age 62, on February 15, 2004. Following a seven month battle with cancer, Ed died peacefully while vacationing in the Caribbean with wife Karen at his side. Ed was predeceased by mother Anna and father Anthony. He is survived by wife Karen; children Kristen, Paul, and Dana; sister Helen (Dennis) parents-in-law, Jack and Gert Gray; and many loving nieces and nephews. Raised in a loving home, Ed inherited the work-ethic, honesty, and integrity of his parents, who strove to provide him with the opportunity to succeed in life, particularly in regards to education. Ed studied at the University of Manitoba where he obtained his masterss degree in electrical engineering. He worked nearly his entire professional career at Manitoba Hydro, retiring in 2000 after over 30 years of distinguished service. His favourite activities included golfing, skiing, spending time at the cottage, and above all else, spending time with his family. He was generous, loving, patient and dependable, qualities that earned him respect and admiration from those whose lives he touched. Ed will be remembered often and with much love in the hearts and minds of many. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
