Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLENDA MARGARET RICHARDS (nee RAW) Peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2004, Glenda Richards passed away at her place of residence at the age of 55 years. Glenda is survived by her husband William; son Dory (Deb) Richards; three grandchildren, Alec age 7, Nicole age 5 and Paige age 2; sisters, Jeanetta, Lenore, Wilma and Sharon; brothers, James and Lawrence. She was predeceased by her parents, Mathew and Mary and sister Yvonne. Glenda was born in Vita, MB on November 21, 1948 and raised in Dominion City. She was the youngest of eight children. Glendas first marriage resulted with the birth of her son Dory. She remarried in 1978 to William Richards and raised their son in Winnipeg. Dory married Debbie Giesbrecht in 1993 and have given Glenda three wonderful grandchildren who were the light of her life. Glenda worked for Dory at Central Canada Hose during the last year of her employment. She also enjoyed working at the various federal, provincial and civic elections. Her other interests included reading, puzzles, the computer and had a great affection for cats. Glendas family and friends will sorely miss her bright intelligence, her great wit and sense of humour as well as her outgoing personality and generous nature. Glenda will be especially missed by her niece Pat Fotti and great-niece Cindy Fotti. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A special thank you to Glendas family and friends who gathered around to make Glendas last days as peaceful as possible. Also thank you to the Palliative Home Care, especially Doris Orchyk for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glendas memory to a charity of your choice.
