ELMER O. KLIPPENSTIEN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elmer O. Klippenstien at Park Manor at the age of 74 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Irene; his children, Anita, Adrian, Gary (Michele) grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Adam and Aaron; great-grandson, Dawson; sister, Wilma (Al) Churchill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his aunts, Olga, Mary and Gertie. Elmer retired from the City of Winnipeg Parks and Recreation Department in 1989. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Elmer enjoyed having coffee with his friends, playing crib and working with his hands. Special thanks to the staff at Park Manor for their excellent care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Monday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster St. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Fr. Wenceslao Rebillaco presiding. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens No. 1 Highway East and Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB R2C 2Z3. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
