SUSAN URE MORISON Peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2004, Susan Morison passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre at the age of 98 years. She will be sadly missed by her son Alan (Maureen) and son-in-law Robert Henley; grandchildren, Todd, Kirk, Susan, Bruce, Barbara, Craig and Kent; great-grandchildren, Khristen, Meagan, Cory, Jamie, Justin, Trevor, Kyle, Kalie, Cole and Troy; and great-great-granddaughter Joanna. Mom was predeceased by her grandson Paul Henley in 1975; husband Jimmy in 1974; sister Elizabeth Saville of England in 1983; and her daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Henley in 1987. She was born "on the royal mile" November 16, 1905, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and came to Canada July 1925, settling in Winnipeg, where she was employed by the T. Eaton Company. Susan met Jimmy Morison and they married October 8, 1927. Residing on Lipton Street in the west end, there they raised their children Betty and Alan. The family were members of Home Street United Church and Susan worked diligently for many years in the U.C.W. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved being with her family and "wee ones." She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing and especially making shortbread - no one will ever make it like she did! There were many fond memories in her thoughts of the wonderful fun times spent at Betty and Bobs cottage at West Hawk Lake. On the dock she would serenade the family in a Scottish sing-a-long. Those were special times with her. The family would like to thank the staff of the third floor of the Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their compassion and care extended to Mom over the past six years. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Moms wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. In the future, there will be a private family interment. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends desire, donations for the children may be sent to the Khartum Shrine Patient Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
