EDITH NICHOLSON On February 19, 2004, Edith Nicholson passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Roderick Nicholson in 1991; her parents, Ben and Emma Schmidt; brother, Len Smith; brothers-in-law, Art Kirby, Al Hourd; sister-in-law Barbara Hourd. She leaves to mourn her children, Randall Nicholson ( Liz) Blain Nicholson (Linda B) Laura DHeilly (Harvey) Barbara Holm (Bob) Craig Nicholson (Deanne) Linda Nicholson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts and Uncle Sam; sister, Florence Kirby; Calvin Smith (Joyce) Jim Schmidt (Anna-Barbara) Bruce Nicholson (Leona) ; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.. Edith worked for the Winnipeg Convention Centre for 19 and one half years. She loved everyone who entered her life and always had a story to tell. She loved to laugh, dance and loved music, and cleaning right to the every end. Her greatest joys came from roller coaster rides, talking to her grandchildren and enjoying everyday life. We will miss you for your smile and always being there because no challenge was too big for Mom. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East, at Navin Road with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Blake Nicholson, Cory Smith, Richard Harris, Devon Smith, Wayne Chueng and Michael Bilyj. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Firefighters Burn Fund Inc., 303-83 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.   • As I think about grandpa you come to my mind because has been a rough day grandma. Years go by I think of the good great times we all were very happy except that grandpa passed away in “91” at 9:50pm. you both always gave me such good advice and I regret not listening but I hear you so strongly because of my gift that I have to you both in my spirit world.
