Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD MERVIN CHILDS May 3, 1932 - February 16, 2004 Suddenly, and with deep sadness, our family announces the passing of Don on Monday, February 16, 2004, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his brother Peter; sisters-in-law, Ruby and Mavis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and very close friends. Don will be sadly missed by his neighbours and his loving friends and family at the Bread and Circuses Bakery, with whom he enjoyed and looked forward with love and excitement to the regular get togethers with each and everyone there. Don was predeceased by his father Mervin; mother Alice; sister (Winnie) Winifred Gustafson; brothers, (Bob) Robert and (Stan) Stanley; sister-in-law Joyce and brother-in-law (Gus) Arlen Gustafson. Don was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He worked for the Co-op Store in Smeaton, SK and also in Nipawin. Don moved to Winnipeg with his parents and worked for Lumber Dealers Supply (LDS) Corporation until his retirement in 1992. In compliance with Dons wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Special thanks to the St. Boniface Emergency Staff; Alex Drobot for his prayers, love and compassion during our time of need; as well, special thanks to Dons neighbour, Joe for assisting Don to St. Boniface. Our family would also like to thank Dr. E.T. Lawrence and staff for the many years of care of our familys health. Flowers gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dons memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to a charity of ones choice.
