WILMER (WILL) D. PETERS 1938 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce that Wilmer Peters, beloved husband of Mrs. Sandra Peters of Calgary, passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on Sunday, February 8 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Will was born February 17, 1938 in Winnipeg. He attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate and following graduation he began a career in insurance in Winnipeg. In 1962 he moved to Calgary where he worked in the insurance underwriting business for many years. Will retired from Burnco Rock Products in 2003. Will enjoyed the outdoors and sports. He was interested in foods and cooking. He loved drives in the foothills and mountains and spending time with his grandchildren. Will leaves behind his wife Sandra; son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Shawna, and their son Mathew; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Don Torgerson and their children, Cole and Calista of Didsbury. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Herb and Sandra; Henry and Helen, and their families of Winnipeg. He will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Rachel Sim, brothers-in-law, Ben (Linda) Sim of Calgary, and Rod Sim of Hawaii and their families. Will was predeceased by his parents, Abram and Sonja Peters. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at McInnis & Holloways "Fish Creek Chapel", 1441 Bannister Rd., Calgary. Rev. Wayne Lewry of Central United Church officiated. Daniele Sim gave the tribute.
