Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD FRANK SERKOSKY (SOROKOWSKI) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather. Struggling with failing health, the Lord ended his suffering and took him Home, where we know that God will take good care of him. On Thursday, February 19, 2004, at the Deer Lodge Centre, Tower 7, Edward passed away at the age of 79 years. Left to grieve Dads passing are his son Martin; and grandchildren, Candice and Marc; his daughter Terry Bedard (Normand) niece Cheryl King and family and all who loved him. He was predeceased by his loving wife, our Mother, Lucille Ann; parents, Albina and Paul Serkosky; sisters, Helen and Millie; niece Pat; and daughter-in-law Arlene. Dad grew up in the north end of the city where he left school at Grade 7 to help support his family. He was a soldier in the Second World War. There he was badly injured and sent home on a honorable discharge with six medals to show for his bravery and love towards his fellow man and country. Dad will always be a hero in our hearts as a father and soldier. We will greatly miss him and cherish his life and memories. We will count our blessings for having known him as a father and a man. A private family service will be held in the Deer Lodge Chapel at a later date. In accordance with Edwards wishes, his ashes will be laid to rest next to his beloved Mother and sister Helen in Brookside Cemetery. With much gratitude and love, our family wishes to thank the staff at Tower 7, who were very loving and compassionate with him. We know Dad would thank all of you for the great care that you provided him. Our love and special thanks to Cindy, who helped us be strong so we could be there for him when he left this world. We will carry our love and memories of you in our hearts. Till we meet again, hugs and kisses, Dad. Well love and miss you always. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
