LOUISE SPARLING Sadly on February 19, 2004, Louise Sparling, aged 70, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, with her family at her side. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Annie Lethbridge and her sister Peggy Holberg. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Fred; daughter Susan; son-in-law David Hologroski; and grandson Mitchell. At age 11, Louise and her family came to Canada from Waterbury, CT. They settled in the north end of Winnipeg, where she attended school and was very involved at St. Giles Church on Burrows Avenue. Louise was active in the Church Choir, and C.G.I.T. Louise and Fred married in 1958 and they lived and raised their daughter in the Fort Rouge area. Family was an important part of Louises life. Many fond memories of the Sparling family get togethers as well as holiday dinners, will forever be cherished by family. Her grandson Mitchell held a special place in her heart, as well Louise enjoyed special time spent with her niece Karen. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, make a donation in memory of Louise to the Arthritis Society, 105-386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6. The family extends sincere appreciation to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Ward at the St. Boniface Hospital. Your care and compassion eased our sorrow. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery with a reception following at the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
