AUDREY EVELYN EASTON 1945-2004 We are sorry to announce that after one year of her usual spunk and feistiness, Audrey Evelyn Easton (Dryborough), passed away on February 20th, at the Pinawa Hospital. Left to cherish Audrey is Bill, life long friend and husband, children Jackie Easton, Jeff Easton (Kristin), Jody Locke (David), and her special granddaughters Emma and Anika, Megan and Cory. She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline Briggs of Surrey, British Columbia, cousins Barry Dryborough (Darlene), Chris and Brad Dryborough, in-laws Sheila, Jack Jonasson, Julia Gamble, Rob and Lorraine Easton and mother-in-law Anne Easton. She will also be missed by many special friends from Toronto, Collingwood, Tottenham, London, Winnipeg, and Lac du Bonnet. Audrey was born in Winnipeg and met her sweetheart while attending General Wolfe Junior High. They dated for ten years before starting their life long journey together. Audrey and Bill spent many evenings on the dance floor and enjoying the company of good friends. They have raised three children which Audrey devoted many years at home raising in Toronto. She later went on to her second job working as an Administrative Assistant at several different schools in Toronto and Winnipeg. She truly loved working with all the students and staff over the years and made many special friendships along the way. After moving to Winnipeg in 1984, Audrey and Bill began a new journey together in Lac du Bonnet. There they built their beautiful retirement home on the lake and spent many weekends enjoying the peacefulness of the country. Their dream became a reality when Audrey left her position at John Taylor Collegiate in 2000 to move out to Lac du Bonnet. Here she worked part time at a local store and spent countless hours enjoying her four granddaughters. She loved to bake, cook, and sew for her family and friends and spent many afternoons just watching the weeds grow in her garden. Audrey had three children, four grandchildren and countless "kids" that she truly loved and touched in so many ways. She was a mother and a grandmother to us all! Well miss you Aud. Many thanks to go out to the Oncology department at Concordia Hospital, Dr. Harris, Carol, Elaine, and Cathy. The staff at Pinawa Hospital, Dr. Richard VanGend and all our family and friends who have helped us through this difficult time. A small family service will be held in Audreys memory.
